In a world undergoing profound cultural change, artistic reflection plays a vital role. Art speaks in ways that resonate deeply and lastingly. Consequently and purposefully, as well as sensibly and sensitively, artists pursue the pressing questions of our time. Artists create utopias and explore new ways of facing the challenges ahead — with courage, passion, and without any opportunism.
La Strada, as a festival, is driven by the desire to connect this vibrant, imaginative world of art with its audience, focusing on what unites us. Collaboration is key: regional, national, and international networking provides new impulses for future artistic creation. Precisely this networking is what we are working on with IN SITU, our European platform for artistic creation in public space. In our current project phase, which extends through 2028, we’re working with 19 partners across Europe to support emerging artists creating work in public space. During the 2025 festival edition, La Strada Graz will host an Immersive Lab at the Kunsthaus Graz – find out more here.
The artistic contributions to this year's festival reflect current developments in a poetic, tender, and hopeful way, but also loudly and explicitly - on the streets, in squares, in parks, and unexpected places in the city, as well as in the circus tent, in the theatre, and the opera house.

About the poetry and diversity in everyday life
We were driven by the passion to bring art to the people very early on. We have always been interested in those artistic works that deal with the place and its inhabitants. For the desire to discover new perspectives, to explore the great themes of our time and the unbroken joy in the search for contemporary forms of artistic expression drive us as much as ever.
La Strada Graz is a cross-disciplinary festival, embracing the rich diversity of artistic forms and formats. It serves as a space for experimentation, both on stage and in public spaces, as well as in other uniquely chosen venues.
